The Hotel Windsor is Australia’s grand hotel, built in 1883. One of the country’s most awarded hotels, The Windsor blends stunning Victorian architecture with all the luxury appointments and facilities of a 5-Star establishment.

For over 125 years The Hotel Windsor has set the benchmark for style, elegance, sophistication and charm in luxury hotels. The hotel is so deeply etched into the fabric of Australian history that the constitution of Australia was drafted in one of the hotel’s luxurious suites.

The Hotel Windsor has a range of elegant and spacious facilities that provide a prestigious alternative for a corporate meeting, presentation, dinner or a private special event. From the magnificence of the Grand Ballroom to the recently refurbished 1 Bourke Street, there is a venue to suit every need. All events can be catered for by the hotel’s acclaimed executive chef Jérôme Trémoulet.

The Grand Ballroom: The Hotel Windsor’s majestic Grand Ballroom is Melbourne’s premier function venue and is in high demand for gala receptions, presentation lunches and dinners, weddings, product launches and events. It can cater for a cocktail reception for up to 400 people, or up to 200 for a seated meal. Richly restored and decorated, the seven original ceiling domes are glazed with stained glass, and gold leaf and fine crystal feature throughout the magnificent room.

1 Bourke Street: The latest addition to The Hotel Windsor's event facilities is the stunning 1 Bourke Street, featuring an abundance of natural light and uninterrupted views of Parliament House. The unique venue is ideal for conferences up to 150 guests, banquet style events for 200 guests and elaborate cocktail parties for 400 guests.

The Canberra Room: With original artwork, an antique gilded mirror and select pieces of antique furniture, the L- shaped Canberra Room is popular for small, private dinners for up to 60 people, training seminars, product presentations and annual general meetings.

The Winston Room: The elegant Winston Room was the hotel’s original dining room in the late 1880’s. The Winston Room offers elegance and style with all modern facilities and service. It caters for up to 30 guests seated on round tables or with a boardroom style set up to 24.

Accommodation: Offering seven room and suite configurations, The Hotel Windsor affords a range of innovative accommodation packages interlinked with the hotel’s signature restaurant 111 Spring Street – famous for its traditional Afternoon Teas and superb evening dining.

The Windsor is located in the heart of Melbourne, overlooking the stately Parliament House and the picturesque Treasury Gardens. Getting around the city is straightforward with trains and trams at the hotel’s doorstep. Melbourne’s thriving theatre precinct, the MCG and Rod Laver Arena are all within short walking distance.

With a staff that consistently strives to go beyond guest expectations, a Windsor experience will always be memorable and deliver unsurpassed service excellence.
