Located in the former Mietta’s building in the heart of Melbourne’s city, Comme is an exciting and sophisticated destination for events, drinking and dining.

Downstairs overlooking Alfred Place is Comme Wine Room featuring a central marble bar, a glass wine pod displaying premium wines from around the world, and relaxed seating for a quiet and intimate drink with friends.

Adjacent to Comme Wine Room is Comme Kitchen, an informal, French bistro-style restaurant. Executive Chef Daniel Southern heads up the kitchen and presents a delectable menu that combines his classical training with more contemporary methods, and uses only the finest local produce to make every dish simple, accessible and enjoyable.

With two glamorous venues for groups from 14 to 300, the upstairs rooms at Comme are celebratory spaces with boundless potential for hosting meetings, conferences, weddings and special events.

Grand Room

The Grand Room is one of Melbourne’s most impressive and sophisticated spaces with its spectacular six metre high ceilings, one metre deep decorative cornices, large arched windows, stunning marble and mirrored bar, and two contemporary green Murano glass chandeliers.

With seating for 120 guests, it is a highly flexible room and can cater for a variety of different purposes and configurations including theatre, cocktail, classroom and banquet-style set ups.

Onyx Room

Three sets of floor to ceiling doors open to the beautifully styled Onyx Room, complete with a custom made black marble bar, American oak waiters stations and hand woven rug.

The Onyx Room is ideal for intimate lunches and dinners, small conferences and group meetings for up to 40 guests. Like the Grand Room, the Onyx Room is suitable for all types of events and a variety of room set ups including board room, classroom, cocktail and banquet.

For larger events up to 300 guests, the doors to the Grand and Onyx Rooms can be opened up and both rooms seamlessly blend together.

Throughout Comme’s event spaces, only the finest furnishings have been selected and each room features the latest audio-visual facilities.
