Spicers Peak Lodge is an architecturally stunning mountain retreat with a focus on fine food and wine.
Located 90 minutes south west of Brisbane and two hours from the Gold Coast, Spicers Peak Lodge is surrounded by World Heritage Listed Main Range National Park.
The retreat exudes an intimate and relaxing ambience, ideal for escaping the pressures of modern life and experiencing one of South East Queensland's most naturally breathtaking environments.
The personalised nature of Spicers Peak Lodge flows through to the world-class dining facilities where the menus reflect the modern diversity of Australian culture supported by an extensive wine list.
Guests have the choice of an array of fine dining options, from gourmet picnic hampers to special degustation menus with an emphasis on fresh and simple cuisine prepared by award winning master chefs.
The retreat has long been the toast of the state’s hospitality industry having won the coveted Best Fine Dining Restaurant 2006 title at the Restaurant and Catering Queensland annual awards and Tourism Queensland’s best luxury accommodation awards in 2006 and 2007.
Spicers Peak Lodge also beat a class field to win the coveted Best Luxury Hotel award at the 2008 Queensland HMAA Awards for Excellence.
Intimacy and outstanding service are hallmarks of Spicers Peak Lodge, which features only 10 exclusive suites, each with magnificent views, luxurious furnishings, stunning linens and individual CD and DVD players.
Spicers Peak also offers four exclusive private lodges where couples can ensconce themselves in a pampered, private getaway whilst still enjoying full use of the main lodge facilities.
Occupying a prime escarpment position offering expansive valley and Spicers Gap views, the private lodges cater for just two people at a time and feature private outdoor spas, wood fuelled fires and state of the art plasma TVs and more.
At Spicers Peak Lodge, a year-round winter lodge atmosphere prevails with high ceilings, stone fireplaces, warm colours, rich textures of suedes, leathers and timber and luxurious furnishings in the main building’s lounge, dining and relaxation areas.
Guests can rejuvenate at the lodge’s stunning infinity edge swimming pool or take in the breathtaking surrounds at their leisure. Evening brings a new mood, with award winning cuisine and the dazzling brilliance of the star-studded, clear mountain skies something to behold.
Visitors after some extra pampering at the picturesque mountain lodge are in safe and soothing hands, with the property offering Elemis treatments to create a pure sensory heaven.
Guests can enhance their Spicers Peak Lodge experience with a choice of blissful therapies such as facials, advanced massage treatments, wraps and exotic rituals encompassing the invigorating and revitalizing properties of lime, coconut milk, frangipani and more.
Situated 1,130m above sea level atop a 9,000 acre working cattle property, Spicers Peak Lodge is enveloped by the World Heritage listed Main Range National Park and Great Dividing Range and offers spectacular views over south-east Queensland’s Scenic Rim.
The property can only be seen from the air, ensuring absolute privacy for guests.
While the retreat is committed to 100 per cent relaxation it also features a sunken tennis court with a natural amphitheatre feel, a library with billiard table conference and meeting room facilities and extensive lounge and dining areas.
Spicers Peak Lodge is also a great option for those who simply want to drop in for the day, with the restaurant open for lunch seven days a week. Helicopter transfers are available. Bookings are essential.

Spicers Peak Lodge
Staff are very attentive and the food is absolutely divine. Fantastic place to unwind but ensure that you arrive only in a 4WD as the gravel roads are very steep and windy.
