For over a decade restaurant elio has championed the principle of less is more. This stylish Leichhardt institution is on display with floor-to-ceiling windows, sleek timber floors, a marble bar and open kitchen to the rear, and an indoor/outdoor private courtyard at the back and a private function room upstairs.

A huge multi-frame photo showing the kitchen at work is an adornment. Head chef Daniele Giannuzzi’s menu is marked by clean, distinct flavours, supported by confident and informative staff.

The food was really delicious. We had the bruschetta, pasta bake and veal ravioli, all which were very delicious.
