Riverlife is the perfect place for a novice or the experienced to enjoy a day of kayaking, rock climbing, or abseiling, among other outdoor adventures.

If you don’t mind getting a little wet, have a go at kayaking by day or night on the Brisbane River. Here you will learn how to paddle and go on a guided session with an instructor or unguided session if you prefer to move at your own pace.

For a night activity, reserve your spot at the Friday Night Paddle and Prawns or Saturday Night Paddle and BBQ Experience. Here you will enjoy a leisurely guided night kayak up the Brisbane River and under the Story Bridge, followed by a platter of fresh ocean king prawns, bread rolls and an assortment of drinks. If you prefer a BBQ, you’ll be rewarded for your paddle with premium rib fillet steaks, sausages and kebabs served with large burger buns, a selection of two freshly made salads, an assortment of drinks and fill up on traditional Aussie lamingtons after you meal.

Prefer to keep your feet on the shore? Then rock climbing and abseiling are great ways to enjoy the best view of the city and river on top of the 20m Kangaroo Point Cliffs! Climbs of various levels of difficulty are available to suit everyone – including beginners!

If heights aren’t your thing, you may also like to strap on a pair of roller blades or take a bike down to South Bank or New Farm. Rollerblade, Kick Bike, and Bicycle hires are available.

No experience is necessary as qualified and experienced instructors guide all Riverlife activity sessions (excluding hires). All equipment is provided, and each session involves full instruction and a safety briefing. Minimum 8 years of age.
