Steel Bar and Grill

I dined here last night after being taken on several work lunches here in the past. Lunch is a largely business lunch affair, and the restaurant is a buzz but you can still hear each other chat. It's a well known spot for the CBD crowd and a fabulous place for after work drinks with an outdoor but covered and sheltered deck. We were there on a Tuesday night and we were delighted that they have LIVE Jazz on the outdoor balcony which we couldnt resist to stick around after a filling but amazing dinner. They also do Jazz on the Saturdays which is plus over any of the pretentious and overated Ivy bars and away from that common crowd. At night the atmosphere is intimate and the room is lit with candles. The food is delicious and it comes from an open plan kitchen where you can see all the chefs busy doing their craft. The service has been spot on every time here, attentive without being intrusive. It;s also worthy to note that they put out a weekly lunch special bulletin which is new every week and features 2 dishes not on the menu. It keeps it fresh and definitely tempting to return again and again. Overall a great restaurant that has quality written all over it. Will be back!

Last night was my first time dining at Steel Bar & Grill and it certainly won't be my last! I tried a variety of the share plates as an entree and ordered the snapper fillet with prawns and gnocchi as my main. Everything I tried was delicious and of the highest quality. My main was without a doubt one of the best meals I have ever eaten. The service was also great, the waitstaff were always one step ahead and kept the glasses full and the food coming out in a very timely manner.

I certainly will be telling everyone to try Steel Bar and Grill.

Food was amazing and surprisingly prompt to come to the table, especially for wagyu steak which was divine! The matching wines were prefect. Will definitely be back again!

STEEL rocked my world! The food quality was seriously out of this world. I had the gnocchi that was sautéed in butter with prawns and sage with a full lovely piece of snapper on top. Then for dessert a chocolate layered piece of heaven with STEEL's homemade passionfruit ice cream. A.J. was our sommelier and he picked absolutely divine wines for us. One of the most delicious m als I have ever had!
