The Kitchen Door menu embraces the seasonality of local produce from the McLaren Vale region and changes every eight weeks or so. Offering a traditional a la carte menu, as well as a renowned tasting menu; consisting of 5 courses that you can have matched or unmatched with a selection of the businesses finest wines.
Group options are also available for parties of 10 or more. Groups large or small are encouraged to dine in the Gedney Room, outside under Drew's Verandah, or on the lawns around the cellar door, either way the picture perfect rural backdrop is hard to beat and even harder to forget.
If you're after a lighter meal option, they also offer tapas platters in and around the cellar door area. Perfect to enjoy whilst tasting the myriad of wines.

The Kitchen Door at Penny's Hill
I've dined at The Kitchen Door twice and on both occasions had the tasting menu with matched wines. Great food complemented by Penny's Hill wines, perfect portion sizes and excellent service. I'm looking forward to my next visit!
I had the pleasure of visiting Penny's Hill over the Christmas period and had an excellent lunch consisting of Kingfish Carpaccio, Chilled Cucumber Soup, a delicious serve of Berkshire Pork Cutlet with an extremely tasty stuffed apple. Not to mention some very crunchy pork crackling...always hard to beat!
A very nice wine list and the service was great.
I also had the pleasure of staying the night at the homestead which is an absolute must if you plan on spending a few days in McLaren Vale. A two story Georgian mansion with views over the vineyards. Very authentic and right in the middle of all the winery action.
Food on the expensive side but very good. The rabbit and pork sausages were served with a beautiful, tasty sauce/gravy/jus. The cheese selection is excellent and good coffee too. The wine selection is also good. I will recommend it to others.
Love this place! great menu and the food is AMAZING!
