THE GATEHOUSE Opened in Spring 2009, The Gatehouse at Glen Ewin Estate is a multi function building that provides cellar door, conferences, corporate functions, weddings & events located only 25 minutes North East the city centre. Surrounded by landscaped gardens, water and rolling hills, it provides a vibrant yet serene environment for all events and an ideal location for a glass of wine over lunch with friends. Over 80 wines in total ensures a new and different experience with each visit. Each weekend one of these winemakers will be in attendance to chat about their select range. Having tasted the current range, talked with the winemaker and selected your favourites, enjoy a glass or two on the waterside deck with a plentiful Mediterranean-influenced platter. A select range of fine foods will also be available to purchase, including a range of fig products (from the property’s own 10,000-tree fig orchard) created by Willabrand. The Gatehouse is a multi-function building that, along with its cellar door, hosts a range of corporate functions, conferences, weddings and events. As a second function venue on the property (the award-winning Pulpshed has been in operation for over a decade) it is in keeping with the heritage-style. Surrounded by rolling hills and a large deck overlooking the water, it is ideal for indoor or al fresco style events. THE PULPSHED The 100 year-old Pulpshed, hidden away in a delightful and picturesque valley, framed by mature trees and the property’s tranquil lake and magnificent stone buildings is the perfect setting for any special occasion. An air of Provence "Down Under" pervades this Heritage-listed venue, offering a unique setting to which you can add your own personal touch. The Pulpshed is Glen Ewin Estate’s venue for larger functions and can accommodate up to 300 people for cocktail-style events and 280 for sit-down dining. It is fully licensed. The interior is clad in galvanized iron and internally insulated with Baltic pine. It has bi-folding doors that open onto a covered paved area for cocktails or al fresco dining or you can walk out onto the lawn and down to lake. WEDDINGS Glen Ewin Estate can help to make your wedding a very special day. Glen Ewin is not a "reception supermarket". Since we live here and out of respect for our environment, we very consciously limit the number of events. It is extremely important to us that the events that do take place here are special and that you enjoy that unique quality. We will do everything possible to help make your day a great success. All aspects of your wedding can be taken care of, including catering, wine, flowers, wedding stationery, car hire, music and any other requirements you may have. EVENTS Over the years, The Pulpshed has hosted a variety of events, ranging from product launches, seminar days and networking events, live auctions, Melbourne Cup luncheons, outdoor theatrical productions and Car Club Owners meetings as well as Christmas parties and fundraising dinners. To make your event as straightforward as possible, we are able to look after all organisational aspects. This includes catering, lighting, equipment hire, AV equipment, transport and any additional requirements.
