This is an ideal venue for the party that you have always promised yourself but never dared to organise.

Set in the funkiest part of the city, Hippo is a Mecca for the local cocktail devotee and attracts praise from much further afield. This boutique bar is kitsch, fun and extremely welcoming. Lovely drinks, great products and fantastic service; the bar is a breath of fresh air to the hustle and bustle of the city consumer madness.

This achingly hip hang-out was an instant hit with everyone when it opened on the turn of the century in July 2000, and has been awarded and praised as one of the country’s leading establishments every since. With a laid-back, ultra-cool and unpretentious atmosphere, sophisticated ambience and dedication to service, Hippo is one of the most admired contemporary boutique bars in Australia.
